FS2002 Royal Jordanian L1011-500 by David Brightwell.

The striking grey, white and gold colourscheme of Royal Jordanian was worn by several L1011 aircraft, and was designed by Landor & Associates. This aircraft is JY-AGB, "Princess Alia".

NOTE: Sometimes the engine textures can seem a little blurred. You can cure this by 'zooming' in very close to the aircraft, and then zooming out again. Your engines will be sharp again.

If you have any questions, comments, or repaint requests please email me at swiftlet2001@yahoo.co.uk

Many thanks to Mike Stone for the model, and to Bill Gates for the flight simulator.

Installation of Textures
------------------------

1. Download and install either bal1011.zip or tap1011.zip, if you have not already done so.

2. Once you have unzipped THIS download (Royal Jordanian) to a temporary folder, copy or move the folder named "texture.RJA" to your British Airways or TAP aircraft folder in FS2002. The normal path for this is:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2002\aircraft\BA L1011 (or TAP L1011).

3. Go to the "BA L1011" or "TAP L1011" folder in FS2002\aircraft and open it.

4. You will see a few files and folders, including a file called "aircraft". This is the aircraft configuration file, and it can be opened with Notepad. Go ahead and open it (right-click on the file).

5. The first line of the text will say [fltsim.0]. Move down the text about 20 lines until you see [General]

6. Now, just ABOVE [General], copy and paste the following lines from this readme:

[fltsim.1]
title=Lockheed L1011-500 Royal Jordanian
sim=L1011
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=RJA
kb_checklists=l1011_CHECK
kb_reference=l1011_REF
atc_id=JY-AGB
atc_airline=Jordanian
atc_flight_number=115
atc_heavy=1
ui_manufacturer=Lockheed
ui_type=L1011
ui_variation=Royal Jordanian
visual_damage=1
description=Lockheed L1011-500 TriStar in the striking colours of Royal Jordanian. Model by Mike Stone, repaint by David Brightwell.

7. Now close the aircraft.cfg, and click 'Yes' to save the changes.

That's it!

Start FS2002, and you will find the aircraft under "Lockheed/L1011/Royal Jordanian"

Enjoy!

Conditions of use
-----------------

You may repaint this aircraft if you wish. However, I went to a lot of trouble to do the lettering "Royal Jordanian" and Arabic script in 'gold', so if you need to use this lettering and script for another repaint of your own, I would appreciate it if you could credit me in the upload. Thank you.

Any repaint of a Mike Stone model that includes the model itself must not be uploaded without his permission.

This is freeware - help preserve our free simulator fun by not trying to make money from this or any other freeware package. Thank you.
